Heatwave's 1.0 Update is Now Available!!!
Hi everyone! Heatwave’s final major update is now available! I hope you’ll enjoy the story mode and the new characters!!! It feels so good to finally be done with a project as large as this, and I’m glad that so many people have enjoyed playing it throughout its time in early access. I probably won’t be adding anything else to the game, besides fixing bugs or doing balance changes. I’m pretty happy with how everything has turned out, and I’m excited to move on to new projects! Below is the launch trailer, and then farther below that, are the patch notes for this update! Thank you so much for playing!
[New Features!]
-Big gay 42 chapter visual novel story mode!!!
-4 new secret characters!
-A new screen in the gallery that tracks gameplay statistics. (Statistics will start being tracked as of 1.0)
-A "Bonus stage" has been added to arcade mode.
[Bug Fixes]
-Fixed an issue where the ripple effects on water stages would be the wrong color for certain objects.
-Fixed an issue where attacking an opponent with an attack that doesn't cause a knockdown, when they touch the ground in the burst state after being hit by an attack that does cause a knockdown, would cause them to be stuck in hitstun until they were knocked down by another attack.
-Fixed a bug that caused certain attacks that spawn lingering trap-style projectiles to continuously set the didhit flag to true after they hit the opponent.
-Fixed an issue that caused wallbounces that started behind the player to act strange.
-Fixed an issue that caused two Apollos to be created when Hawke uses his 214D ultra the second time.
-Fixed a graphical issue where Apollo would stay on the screen longer than he should during Hawke's 214D ultra.
-Fixed an issue where wallsticks would happen when a character was knocked down by an attack that causes a wallstick, even if they were still on the ground before the attack hit, and had been hit by multiple attacks before that one.
-Fixed an oversight that made the fun fact on the main menu take way too long to repeat.
-Removed flashing effects on projectiles for Hawke, Rain, and April.
-Fixed an issue where the start or select buttons could be rebound to buttons that overlap with gameplay buttons.
-While using a keyboard, player 1 can no longer rebind keys to inputs that player 2 is already using, and vice versa.
