Version 0.9.2 May Update


Version 0.9.2 is Heatwave's second major update!!

The "Power" fighting style has been officially added, as well as a new "assist only" character, and a lot of balance changes. There's also a new stage and bgm :)

Patch notes (May Update) 0.9.2

[New features]

-Fighting style "Power" (previously the secret fighting style) officially added.

-New Stage "Nuclear Desert".

-New BGM "Nuclear Desert".

-New Assist.

-Names of detected controllers are now shown on the main options menu.

-Difficulty is now shown on the Game Over screen.

-Personal Best is now shown on the character select screen for survival mode, and is saved in a save file.

-New Training mode options, "Show Data", "Character Select", and "Reset options"

-Updated the tutorial.

-New Favorite Color "Purple".

-Training mode settings are now saved in a save file.

-Added support for 4:3 resolutions.

-A Secret Thing ;)


[Bugfixes]

-Fixed a bug that caused most attacks to deal 4 more frames of hitstun than intended...Don't ask :(

-Fixed a bug that caused some characters to revert back to their original color while parrying in power style.

-Sparrow's sprites are now the correct color on the game over screen.

-Fixed a bug that caused a bit of "popping" while guarding attacks

-Fixed a bug that caused the training dummy to not guard overheads while crouched.

-Fixed a graphical bug that happened when you started a parry on the same frame you parry an attack

-Fixed a bug that caused Hawke/Apollo's projectile to face the wrong direction if Apollo was facing the opposite direction.

-Fixed a bug that caused projectiles not to spawn hit effects if they hit a player during armored frames.


[Balance Changes]

:NOTE: all hitstun changes are relative to the state of the game after fixing the hitstun bug.

{SPARROW}

-Decreased guardstun on Sparrow's super.

-Sparrow can now soul cancel out of his 236x.

{SETSUNA}

-Increased damage on Setsuna's 236x.

-Increased damage on Setsuna's super.

-Increased hitstun on setsuna's j.A, j.B, j.6B, and j.2C

{ARES}

-Input for Ares' 28x is now 214x.

-Gave Ares a new special on the 28x input.

-Increased vertical knockback for Ares' 46x.

-Decreased horizontal knockback for Ares Ultra.

-Decreased the time needed to charge for all charge inputs by 5 frames.

-Made the time after releasing the charge where you can still perform the charge motion more strict, 7 frames instead of 20.

{APRIL}

-Decreased horizontal knockback for April's 2C.

{CROW}

-Increased Damage for Crow's 214x.

-Crow's 214x can now be used in the air as well.

-Crow's 214x now has armor.

-You no longer need to hold down "C" to get the full hits for Crow's 214C.

-Increased hitstun for Crow's 5A, and 5B.

{MONA}

-Increased Vertical knockback on Mona's 214x

-Increased damage on Mona's 214x and j.214x

-Decreased the amount of armored frames on Mona's 22x, starts at frame 8 instead of frame 0.

{HAWKE}

-Hawke's 4B now has armor frames.

-Changed 6C to be a dash instead of a teleport.

-Apollo now dashes when Hawke dashes.

-Both versions of the super lock the opponent to the ground.

-Increased hitstun for Hawke's j.C, 5A, and 2A.

-Decreased guardstun for Hawke's j.C.

-Increased damage for Hawke's 214x.

{RAIN}

-Increased hitstun on Rain's 5A and 2A.

{SYSTEM}

-Made the input for dashes more strict

-Holding back during the startup of a throw will reverse the direction the opponent is thrown.

-Increased the amount of frames you can parry for during the parry animation by 1 frame.

-Decreased the length of all airdashes, 20 frames to 14.

-Increased the tech window for all thows by 2 frames.

-Decreased the damage of dead angle attacks.

-Increased the amount of scaling that offensive burst resets. 

-Increased Hitstop on Guard.

-Decreased Hitstop for assists.

-You can now parry during offensive burst.

-Assists no longer increase damage scaling.

-Specials will autocorrect direction during startup frames.
