Version 0.9.7 Major Update!!!


Version 0.9.7 Adds a new character! Unit-01 is an android with an arm possessed by an alien, and she fights using a large floating sword.


This update also includes many important general balance/system changes, so here are the more detailed changes.

0.9.7 Update Patch notes

[New Features]

-New Character, Unit-01.

-New Assist, Unit-01.

-10 New combo trials for Unit-01.

-New Stage, Meteor Realm.

-New BGM, Meteor Realm.

-The "Default" fighting style has been renamed to "Speed"

-Each Assist now has a "rank" from C to S, to show how strong they are/ how long the assist's cooldown is. (C is weak, but short cooldown, and S is strong, but long cooldown)

-Assists can now be switched from the training mode menu.

-Changes to health/ general balance changes.


[Bug Fixes]

-Fixed a bug that caused the hiteffect sound for Setsuna's Ultra to sometimes play multiple times when pausing on the same frame the sound is created.

-Fixed a bug that caused shadows to sometimes not be drawn if there were more than one trap/projectile per player on screen

-Fixed a bug that caused you to cancel a parry into itself even if the parry wasn't successful.

-Fixed a bug that caused "trap" style attacks to not increase gravity scaling when they hit.

-Fixed a bug that caused the background to slightly flicker during supers, ultras, and bursts.

-Fixed a bug that caused the buffer system to sometimes not refresh the buffered direction when buffering a button press.

-Fixed a bug that caused shortcut buttons and supers/ultras/overdrive to sometimes not buffer correctly.

-Fixed a bug that caused crouching attacks to take priority over standing attacks if the down direction was not held, but the player was still in the crouching state.

-Fixed a bug that caused low attacks from Hawke/Apollo and Unit-01 to not be able to OTG


[Balance Changes]


{SPARROW}

-Sparrow's assist is now a projectile attack.


{ROBIN}

-Decreased horizontal knockback on all versions of Robin's 22X.


{SETSUNA}

-Slightly Increased the hitbox size of 22x's explosion.

-Increased the "Rank" of Setsuna's assist.


{ARES}

-Decreased damage on Ares' super.


{APRIL}

-Slightly increased damage on April's Ultra.


{MONA}

-Increased the height of Mona's 22x hitbox.

-Mona's assist now restands knocked down opponents.


{RAIN}

-Decreased the size of Rain's standing hurtbox.


{BASIL}

-Basil's Assist is now a hitgrab (his 214x)

-Basil can now use his 22x when other "trap" projectiles are on screen.(214x and 214D)

-Basil's [4]6x > D now counts as a command normal, and can cancel into any grounded attack you haven't already used/is jump cancellable.

-Increased damage on all versions of Basil's 236x, j.236x, and [4]6x.

-Decreased Startup and Recovery on Basil's 2C.

-Decreased Startup on Basil's j.B.

-Basil now has armor on the startup of 6C and 4C.

-Increased the horizontal speed of Basil's 6C.

-Basil's walkspeed and dash speed are slightly increased.

-Slightly increased the horizontal knockback of Basil's j.A, j.B, and j.C

-Increased the size of the hitbox for Basil's 236x.


{LEAF}

-Leaf's 4B special now has armor frames on startup again.

-Leaf's 5B now has increased hitstun and hitstop.

-Leaf's 2C > B command grab is no longer a hitgrab.


{SYSTEM}

-Grounded specials now preserve momentum on startup from dashes, unless otherwise specified in code, or if it's a command grab/throw.

-Reduced hitstop from projectiles.

-You can now shorthop/superjump cancel any (grounded) jump cancellable attack

-The minumum damage supers and EX specials can do is increased to 45% in default and 25% in power style of their original value (from 40%, and 20%)

-If a non projectile attack has been used more than 7 times in one combo, it will increase scaling by the maximum amount

-The damage boost in power style is slightly increased.

-The damage boost in overdrive is slightly increased

-Overdrive can now be activated from wallsplat.

-Parrying no longer resets the parry animation.

-The recovery of a parry is now a counter hit state.

-Maximum health has been increased to 240.

-Jumping from a dash, now has the same horizontal dash speed of the dash itself.

-Normal jumping from dash now decreases the vertical speed slightly.

-Decreased the amount of charge needed for all [4]6x and [2]8x inputs by 2 frames.

-If you are hit by an A+D grab during the startup or active frames of your own A+D grab, you will automatically tech the throw.
