Version 0.9.8.5 Massive Balance Update!


Version 0.9.8.5 is now available! It includes a large amount of balance changes, and some new quality of life features, as well as a decent amount of bug fixes :) One of the main new mechanics, are wall bounces, and ground bounces (previously only Leaf had ground bounces) that will help spice up your combos <3

[NEW FEATURES]

-Attract Mode (wait long enough on the title screen, or press down+select)

-New BGM Ancient Library

-New Stage Ancient Library

-Auto scrolling on most menus by holding up/down direction

-You can now choose the position you reset to in training mode with the reset position option.

-You can now reset position in training mode with a shortcut button + direction (mapped to select on gamepads("ps" on ds4), backspace on keyboard)

-You can now rebind the Dpad on controllers, however the right stick will always be used for movement

-added 1600x900 screen resolution

-Added a new filter, OLD + Arcade

-Some attacks now cause wallbounces on knocked down opponents(some only happen on counterhit)

-More attacks cause groundbounces (previously, only Leaf had attacks that caused groundbounces)

-You can now switch with your assist in team mode even if it hasn't hit, or if the assist spawns a projectile, but only after the attack's first active frame.

-Changes to how backdashes work.

-Using the same attack multiple times in the same combo will cause the combo to scale more heavily.

-A large amount of Balance changes, especially to how scaling works in combos.


[BUG FIXES]

-Fixed a bug that caused the red meter to increase higher than the health bar frame if you recovered health from certain attacks, while at full health.

-Fixed a bug that caused sparrow's cancel mechanic to take priority over cancelling into ultra from special attacks in speed mode.

-Fixed a bug that caused increased scaling from tag attacks and dead angles to not be applied correctly.

-Fixed a bug that caused p2 in combo trials to not have the correct health/fighting style depending on what p2's fighting style was in the last gamemode you played before starting the combo trial mode.

-Fixed a bug that caused it to sometimes be impossible to burst in combo trial mode bc the other player's health was 0.

-Fixed a bug that caused Clay's 2A and 5A to count as projectiles when parried by a power mode opponent.

-Fixed a bug that caused the resolution to not update properly when switching from Fullscreen to windowed.

-Fixed a bug that prevented charging for charge motions during hit/knocked down states.

-Fixed a bug that caused Hawke/Apollo to have the wrong projectile when switching from the partner character in team mode after using their install ultra.

-Fixed a bug that caused a weird interaction between A+D throws and parries during the active parry frames, that caused the parrying player to not be able to be thrown.

-Fixed a bug that caused assist attacks to sometimes not hit the player if they had already parried an attack before the assist attack had hit.

-Fixed a bug that caused it to sometimes be hard to buffer charge moves.


[BALANCE CHANGES]


{SPARROW}

-Sparrow's 4B now causes a wallbounce.

-Sparrow's 6C now causes a groundbounce.

-Increased downwards vertical knockback on sparrow's 6C.

-Increased Damage on Sparrow's 6B.

-Decreased Guardstun on Sparrow's 22x, 6B, j.236x, 2B,2C,5C, j.B, and 214D.


{ROBIN}

-Robin's 236C now causes a wallbounce.

-Increased vertical knockback slightly on Robin's 236C and 6B.

-Robin's 6B now has armor frames on startup.

-Decreased horizontal speed on robin's 236C.

-Decreased Guardstun on Robin's 2B, 5B, 5C, 2C, 214x, 236x, j.236x and 22x.

-Changed Robin's S4 and S5 combo trials.


{MAI}

-Mai's 214A/B now cause a wallbounce on counterhit.

-Mai's j.2C now causes a groundbounce.

-Decreased horizontal knockback on mai's j.2C.

-Increased downwards vertical knockback on mai's j.2C.

-Decreased Guardstun on Mai's 214x, 5B, 2C, and j.C

-Changed Mai's S4 and S5 combo trials.


{SETSUNA}

-Setsuna's ground 236x now restands knocked down opponents.

-Increased hitstun on setsuna's j.2C and 236x.

-Decreased Guardstun on setsuna's 2C, 5C, and 236x

-The last hit of setsuna's 236D super causes a ground bounce.

-Changed Setsuna's S3 and S4 combo trials.


{V}

-Decreased the horizontal knockback on V's 22B.

-Increased the horizontal speed of V's 214x > B.

-Decreased horizontal knockback on V's 214x.

-V's 236x > 2A followup now causes a wallbounce on counterhit

-V's 214x > A > A followup now causes a wallbounce.

-Decreased Guardstun on V's 22x, 5C and 2C.

-V's A+D throw now causes a groundbounce.

-Changed V's S5 and P5 combo trials.


{ARES}

-Updated Ares' P1 and P3 combo trials.

-Ares' 236C causes a wallbounce. 

-Ares' 236A/B causes a wallbounce on counterhit.

-Decreased horizontal speed on Ares' 236C.

-Decreased Guardstun on Ares' 2B and 5C.

-Are's [2]8x now has increased I frames.


{CLAY}

-The run speed on Clay's 214x is slower.

-Clay's 214C > A followup now causes a wallbounce.

-Increased Damage on  all versions of Clay's 214x > A/B

-Increased Damage on all versions of Clay's 236x

-Clay's enhanced 236x now causes a wallbounce.

-Increased Damage on Clay's enhanced 236x

-Clay's j.c now causes a groundbounce.

-Clay's enhanced 2C now only does more damage instead of hitting twice.

-Increased damage on all versions of Clay's 22x.

-Decreased guardstun on Clay's 5B, 2C, and 5C.


{APRIL}

-April's 214 A/B and 214D now cause a wallbounce on counterhit.

-Decreased guardstun on April's 5B, 5C, 2C, 214x, and 214D.

-Decreased Damage on April's 214D.


{CROW}

-Reduced the horizontal knockback on crow's 5C.

-Crow's 214A now freezes crow's movement.

-Crow's 6B, and 236D now cause a wallbounce.

-Changed Crow's S5 combo trial.


{MONA}

-Decreased horizontal knockback on Mona's 2A and 2B

-Mona's j.214x now causes a groundbounce.

-Increased vertical knockback on Mona's j.214x.

-Decreased Guardstun on Mona's 5A and 2C.

-Mona's 214x can now be air recovered after.

-Changed Mona's P1, P3, and P4 combo trials.


{HAWKE/APOLLO}

-Apollo's(after the ultra) 236B causes a wallbounce on counterhit, and his 236C can always cause a wallbounce.

-Finetuned how Apollo moves when Hawke is dashing/walking.

-Increased hitstun on Hawke's 4A.

-Hawke's 22x > B > B Followup now causes a groundbounce.

-Increased downwards knockback on Hawkes's 22x > B > B followup.

-Decreased guardstun on Hawke's 5B.

-Decreased the hitbox size of 5C.

-Changed Hawke/Apollo's S4 and S5 combo trials.


{RAIN}

-Rain has a new special move, 63214x.

-Rain's 214 A/B now causes a wallbounce.

-Rain's A+D throw now causes a wallbounce.

-Decreased vertical knockback on Rain's A+D throw.

-Rain's j.2C now causes a groundbounce.

-Increased damage on Rain's Ultra.


{BASIL}

-Increased the Vertical knockback of Basil's A+D throw.

-Adjusted the knockback values of Basil's 214C to be identical to 214A.

-Increased damage on all versions of Basil's 214x.

-Decreased the Recovery on Basil's j.236x when it is successful.

-Basil's [4]6C now causes a wallbounce.

-Basil's [4]6A/B now causes a wallbounce on counterhit.

-Basil's 6C now causes a groundbounce.

-Increased downwards knockback on Basil's 6C.

-Decreased vertical knockback on Basil's 236x.

-Increased recovery on Basil's 236x.

-Increased the startup of basil's 236.

-Decreased the throw hitbox size on Basil's 236x.

-Basil's 236x no longer has armor on startup.

-Decreased Hitstun on Basil's j.C

-Decreased Guardstun on Basil's 5B, 2B, 5C, and j.B

-Changed Basil's S4 combo trial.


{LEAF}

-Leaf's 214C drains health as well as meter.

-Increased the amount of meter taken from the opponent on leaf's 214x.

-Leaf's 214x now knocks down.

-Increased the hitbox size of Leaf's BB2A 

-Leaf's 6B now causes a wallbounce on counterhit.

-Increased Hitstun on Leaf's 6B.

-Leaf's B>B>2A followup now restands the opponent

-Decreased guardstun on Leaf's j.B, 2B, 5B, 5C, 22x, 214D and 236x.


{UNIT-01}

-Increased hitstun on Unit-01's 5A.

-Unit-01's 6B now causes a wallbounce.

-Increased hitstun on Unit-01's 6B.

-Unit-01's 6C now causes a groundbounce.

-Increased downwards knockback on Unit-01's 6C

-Decreased horizontal knockback on Unit-01's 6C.

-Decreased guardstun on Unit-01's 6C.

-Increased guardstun on Unit-01's 6B.

-Increased vertical knockback on Unit-01's 2C.

-Changed Unit-01's S3, S4, S5, P2, P3, and P4 combo trials


{SECRET CHARACTER}

-[REDACTED] now has 3 levels for her power up mechanic instead of just 2.

-[REDACTED]'s lv 1 [4]6x now causes a wallbounce on counterhit.

-[REDACTED]'s lv 2 [4]6x now causes a wallbounce.

-Decreased guardstun on all versions of [REDACTED]'s [4]6x

-Increased hitstun on all versions of [REDACTED]'s [4]6x

-[REDACTED]'s A+D throw now causes a wallbounce.

-Changed [REDACTED]'s S4, P3, P4, and P5 Combo trials.


{SYSTEM}

-The amount of additional scaling added when you hit an attack otg in power mode is decreased.

-Additional weight scaling in power mode has been decreased for normal attacks.

-Overdrive activation decreases damage scaling less.

-Overdrive activation no longer resets the times you've used a move in a combo.

-Overdrive activation no longer locks the other player's burst.

-You can no longer activate overdrive from hitstun states.

-non projectile attacks now increase scaling more when used multiple times in the same combo.

-The lowest amount of damage supers/ultras can do in power mode is reduced to 20% from 25%

-Fiddled a bit with the damage scaling formulas, making damage scaling speed/team mode a bit lighter

-Decreased the power mode damage buff.

-Groundbounces have a buff to how high they bounce.

-All characters now have a slightly slower backwards walking speed.

-Made the DP(623) motion (a shortcut for all 22 inputs) accept more similar inputs.

-You can now do 22 motion inputs with 33 inputs

-Doing throws with A+D instead of the button macro is more leinient.

-Doing bursts using B+C instead of the button macro is more leinient.

-You can now switch with your assist in team mode even if it hasn't hit yet/whiffs, or if the assist spawns a projectile.

-The cooldown time for S rank assists is slightly decreased.

-Changed how grounded backdashes work, they now put you in the air, and can't be jump cancelled.

-Backdashes are now shorter + throw invul + have longer I frames.

-You can now no longer cancel backdashes into attacks in speed and team mode.

-Increased the i frames on grounded dashes by 1 frame

-Made recovery on Parries slightly longer.

-Decreased the speed at which the burst meter regenerates.

-It's now easier to buffer dashes on wakeup.
