Arcade Mode Update!!!!


Version 0.9.9 marks a very large milestone! Arcade mode has been fully added!!

There are 2 new stages, lots of balance and quality of life changes, and many new secret things (secret characters) as well, I hope you'll enjoy discovering them!

PS: If you have already played the game before, I recommend re-adjusting the volume, as I have rebalanced the sounds to be a bit quieter.

[NEW FEATURES]

-REBALANCED SOUND VOLUME

-Added an option which displays the game's framerate.

-Added a menu option on the combo trial pause screen that lets you scroll through all of the inputs for the trial.

-The options for meter in training mode are expanded.

-The guard option in training mode can now be set to "Guard on Stance" or "Random Guard"

-You can now dash cancel attacks for 1 bar of meter in power mode without needing overdrive activated.

-Lot of balance changes (Continue reading for specifics).


[BUG FIXES]

-Fixed a bug that caused weird interaction with the assist when backing out of character select and then selecting team mode after selecting speed or power initially.

-Fixed a bug that caused the Attract mode text to not be properly aligned.

-Fixed a bug that caused the sprite during guardstun to sometimes not align with the hurtbox. 

-Fixed a weird bug with trap projectiles that I don't feel like explaining lol.

-Fixed a bug that kept the groundbouce flag set to true when an attack also wallsticks.

-Fixed a bug that allowed you to guard by holding both left and right on keyboard.

-Optimized parts of the code to slightly help performance.

-Removed some unused assets.

-Fixed an oversight where your facing direction was incorrectly updated during blockstun.

-Fixed an oversight where Unit-01's 5B spawned the wrong hitbox.

-Fixed a bug that caused projectiles to use the wrong damage scaling equation in power mode.

-Fixed a bug where random select can select the same character twice in team mode.

-Fixed a teleport bug with apollo causing the other player to move to the wrong side when the direction is the opposite of the player, and they are in the air.

-Fixed a bug where assist call would not clear the input buffer, leading to the support button being buffered longer that it should have been in specific situations.

-Fixed a bug where you could rebind start/pause to the same controller button a different game input was.

-Fixed? a bug where the controller would rebind all the directions to the same button 

-Fixed a bug where some supers/ultras were not frame 1-invincible like they should have been.


[BALANCE CHANGES]

{SPARROW}

-Increased hitstun on Sparrow's 2A. 

-Decreased Damage on Sparrow's 214D.


{MAI}

-Mai's 236A no longer causes a knockdown.

-Increased hitstun on Mai's 2A, and 236x.

-Reduced horizontal knockback on Mai's j.B.

-Increased I-frames on Mai's 214D Ultra.


{SETSUNA}

-Setsuna can now cancel any attack out of her 4C/6C regardless of button strength.

-Increased hitstun on Setsuna's 2A and 5A.

-Setsuna's j.214x projectiles are now overheads.


{V}

-V's j.2C now falls faster.

-V's j.C now causes a groundbounce.

-Increased Hitstun on V's 5A, 2A, and j.C.

-Increased Damage on V's 214D.

-Decreased Hitstop on V's 214D.


{ARES}

-Increased I-frames on Ares' [2]8x.

-Decreased horizontal knockback on Ares' [2]8x

-Increased Damage on Are's 2[8]x, 236x, and 236D super.

-Increased hitstun on Ares' 2A and 5A.

-Increased guardstun on Ares' 236x.

-Slightly increased damage on Ares' 214D.

-Changed the properties of Ares' [4]6x so it hits more consistently in the corner.


{CLAY}

-Clay's 6B is now jump cancellable.

-Increased hitstun on Clay's 2A and 5A.

-Decreased guardstun on Clay's installed 214x > B and installed 236x.

-Increased guardstun on Clay's 6B.

-Reduced armor on Clay's 214x > B followup

-Changed Clay's S5 combo trial


{APRIL}

Increased Hitstun for April's 2A.


{CROW}

-Crow's 214D is now an overhead (instead of unblockable).

-Slightly Increased the damage on Crow's 214D.


{MONA}

-Changed Mona's P2 combo trial.


{HAWKE}

-Decreased the height of Apollo's pushbox.

-Changed Hawke's P4 and P5 combo trials.


{RAIN}

-Slightly changed Rain's win quote against Basil.

-Increased Damage on Rain's 214D Ultra.

-Changed the hitbox on rain's 214x to remove a deadzone for certain characters.

-Increased Damage on Rain's 214x.

-Increased Hitstun on Rain's 214A.

-Increased vertical knockback on Rain's 214B.

-Increased Damage on Rain's 236D Super.

-Rain's J.C and J.2C now cause a ground bounce.


{BASIL}

-Basil's 22X counter is now unblockable.


{LEAF}

-Changed Leaf's S5 combo trial.

-Leaf's AAB no longer knocks down.

-Increased Hitstun on leaf's AAB.

-Leaf has decreased armor on 2C.


{UNIT-01}

-Decreased the hitbox size of Unit-01's j.B.

-Increased startup on unit-01's 214B and j.B.

-Increased damage on Unit-01's 214D.

-Increased Hitstun on Unit-01's 2A.

-Increased the length of I-frames on Unit-01's 22x.


{REDACTED}

-Decreased damage on [REDACTED]'s 214D.


{SYSTEM}

-Re-animated the vertical laser beam assist to be a different character. (assist is functionally the exact same)

-Increased the damage buff for power mode.

-Same move proration scaling affects power style less than speed or team.

-Gravity scaling now affects all the fighting modes equally.(power mode specials added slightly more)

-You can now dash cancel attacks in power mode outside of overdrive for 1 bar of meter.

-You can now buffer inputs correctly during superfreeze and the last few frames of guardstun.

-Added a special effect+sound to dash cancels.

-Decreased the cooldown for all assist ranks.

-overdrive no longer locks the other player's burst.

-Increased the amount of recovery frames for all parries.

-slightly decreased the amount of meter gained on block.

-You now gain a small amount of meter when attacks land in Speed/Team (is affected by damage scaling/based on damage).

-Supers and ultras now do chip damage in Speed/Team mode (previously only in Power mode).

-Projectiles and traps now do chip damage in power mode.

-Increased the amount of chip damage overall.

-Defensive burst now removes the ability for power mode to OTG with lows after it, until the opponent recovers from knockdown.

-Increased the minimum amount of damage normals/non-ex specials can do in all modes.

-Combos out of parrystun in power mode have increased damage scaling

-Ultras now add more scaling to combos.

-You can no longer tech throws while parrying.

-Slightly increased the time bursts take to regenerate.

-Slightly increased the startup for burst/overdrive activation.

-Decreased the active frames for burst/overdrive activation.

-Decreased the I-Frames for burst

-Removed all I-Frames on overdrive activation.

-Decreased the amount of damage scaling that overdrive activation removes.

-Increased the amount of damage scaling Otg attacks add.

-Decreased the harshness of damage scaling for Speed/Team modes.

-Damage increases will happen after

-Changed how damage scaling affects normals/non EX specials in overdrive.

-Made instant air dashes easier to do without using the button macro.

-added the ability to tiger knee half circle inputs.

-The cpu will no longer parry on purpose as often on most difficulties.

-The cpu will no longer throw tech as often on most difficulties.

-Increased Team mode health slightly.

This game reminds me 8bit and ms dos videogames. Good fighting!
