Version 0.9.9.5 Balance/New Mechanic Update


Hey! The second to last major update is now available :0  next big update will be story mode. This update add a new mechanic for speed mode, stages will now change to  Sunset or Nighttime as the match goes on, and there's new attacks for some characters :)

Here are the full patch notes for 0.9.9.5:

[NEW FEATURES]

-New mechanic, in speed mode, you can press A+B and either down, left or right to do an EX dash for 1 bar of meter after landing an attack. This state can be cancelled into attacks and specials, as well as it can be jump cancelled. It has a lot of I-frames, so it's good to use if the other player blocked an unsafe attack, or to convert off hits you usually wouldn't be able to.

-Some stages now have sunset/nighttime versions that happen on the later rounds of a match.

-"wakeup action" option in training mode added, you can set what the training dummy does after it recovers from being knocked down.

-New effects for clashes and the end of overdrive.

-Changed the effects on the title screen to be less of a "flashbang"

-Changed the unlock conditions of 2 secret characters slightly.

-General Balance changes (continue reading for specifics).


[BUG FIXES]

-Fixed a bug where some trap objects wouldn't pause during superfreeze.

-Fixed a bug that caused dashes to not have i-frames on their very first frame.

-Fixed a bug that caused the wrong amount of damage to be taken with hit during an attack that has armor.

-Fixed a bug that caused jumps to take priority over other actions if they were input on the same frame during idle/walk/dash/crouch states.


[BALANCE CHANGES]


{Sparrow}

-Increased the hitbox width on Sparrow's 236C so it won't whiff point blank on some characters.


{Robin}

-Robin's 236A no longer has armor.

-Decreased Guardtsun on Robin's 236B. 


{Mai}

-Increased Guardstun on Mai's 236A/C

-Decreased Guardstun on Mai's 236B

-Mai's 236A no longer has armor on startup.


{Setsuna}

-Setsuna's 2B is now a low, and her j.B is now correctly an overhead.

-Setsuna's 5B and 5C are now jump-cancelable.

-Increased Hitstun on Setsuna's j.B.

-Decreased Horizontal Knockback on setsuna's j.B.

-Increased damage on Setsuna's j.C.

-Increased+Changed the I-frame window on Setsuna's 4/6C (starts sooner but ends sooner as well)

-Setsuna now has an airgrab (j.A+D)


{V}

-Decreased the knockback on V's 236x so 236x > B hits more consistently on knocked down opponents.


{Clay}

-Changed Clay's P4 Combo Trial.


{Crow}

-Crow no longer has armor on 236A/B.

-Increased hitstun slightly on Crow's 236A/B.

-Crow's 2B is now a low.


{Mona}

-Decreased Damage on Mona's j.214x.

-Mona's 22x is now immune to being stunned when parried by a power mode character. 

-Mona's 22x no longer has armor on the A and B versions.


{Hawke}

-Increased Damage on Hawke's 236D super.

-Decreased guardstun on hawke's 22x>5B>2B, 22x>5B>5B, 236x, and j.C


{Rain}

-Made rain's j.C, j.2C, 2C, 5C, 4C, 6C, and 214x immune to being stunned when parried by a power mode character.

-Changed Rain's S5 Combo Trial.


{Basil}

-Basil's 214x is now immune to being stunned when parried by a power mode character. 

-Slightly decreased guardstun on Basil's [4]6x.

-Changed Basil's P5 Combo Trial.


{Leaf}

-Changed Leaf's P5 Combo Trial.

-Decreased guardstun on Leaf's 236x.

-Increased damage on Leaf's 236D and 214D supers.


{Unit-01+ (Arcade boss)}

-Decreased guardstun on Unit-01+'s 236D super.


[Redacted]

-[Redacted]'s [4]6x is now immune to being stunned when parried by a power mode character. 

-[Redacted] has a new special move, 412x.

-[Redacted] now gains a power level when she is hit during her 22x stance.


{Redacted}

-Changed {Redacted}'s P4 Combo Trial.


<Redacted>

-<Redacted> no longer has I-frames on 214A/B.

-Decreased Hitstun on <Redacted>'s 214A

-Reduced the horizontal knockback on the second hit of <Redacted>'s 6C.

-Decreased damage on <Redacted>'s 6C, 214A/B, 236x, 22x, and slightly on his 214D ultra.

-<Redacted>'s 236C is now immune to being stunned when parried by a power mode character. 

-Made <Redacted>'s foward dash actionable sooner.

-Decreased <Redacted>'s Maximum Health.

Changed <Redacted>'s P3, P4, and P5 Combo Trials.


{SYSTEM}

-Slightly increased how much attacks in power mode are affected by damage scaling.

-Decreased the minimum amount of damage EX attacks can do in power mode.

-Slightly increased the same move scaling penalty that attacks in power mode adds.

-Slight decreased the same move scaling penalty that attacks in speed/team mode add.

-slightly decreased Meter gain from attacking in power mode.

-Burst regens faster when one character is KO'd in team mode.

-Made the requirements to unlock some of the secret characters easier.

-Slightly decreased the amount of I-frames on backdashes.
